The Open Handset Alliance (abbreviated as OHA) is an organization of 84 companies[1] that works to develop open standards for mobile devices. It is led by Google. To promote a unified Android platform, members of the OHA are prohibited from producing devices based off of incompatible forks of Android.[2]
